Wicked Thoughts (Insight)

Wicked Thoughts is my oldest recorded poem that I’ve written, hence the slightly cringe title. I was anywhere from 14-16 when I wrote it and it was the piece that got me to take writing more seriously. I wrote it during a time between childhood and adulthood; I was trying to figure the world out and channel my teenage angst. When I think about this poem, I am taken back and can see myself writing in my notebook, scribbling and writing before the age of the smartphone. This one is kind of my baby; it’s been with me a long time and will always feel special to me. Just be glad you get to read what I write typed and not handwritten, because my handwriting is a complete mess. I hope you enjoy reading Wicked Thoughts by Daniel Peiffer.
