Dead Poets Society

Don’t cry about us poets,

I’ve got nothing left to feel

I’ve bottled up my stories,

And poured in the colored sand,

Turned misery to portraits,

Made it warm for strangers’ comfort

Sure I’ve got tattoos on my skin,

But the ink’s dried and only fading

So if my head is down in sorrow,

Know each tear is acrylic for my palette
