Red Sea

I’ve seen innocence swallowed whole

The ocean is deep and the abyss under is unpredictable

The further you sink beneath

The more creatures that want to sink their teeth,

Sharks should be the least of your concern

There is no food chain down here, savagery is all that’s learned

I’ve seen innocence swallowed whole

Devoured, out of anyone’s control

Bodies dragged to the depths to be ripped apart

Torn ligaments and limbs left in the dark

Fish swim in the same current as the blood

And we sit on our ships looking down from above

I’ve seen innocence swallowed whole

By these fucking urchins lurking on patrol

The poison that flows through their gills turns them drastic

The pollution doesn’t come from the plastic

It’s most likely been embedded in their subconscious

It doesn’t take a submarine to swim with the monsters
