Stripes & Stars

Land of the free,

Built on the backs of slaves

On top of the native's graves

Home of the brave,

But only the rich in power

Throwing stones from their towers

America the great,

The greatest lie ever told

Fifty states in the mind state of the old

To serve and protect,

We’re criminalized for living civilian lives

While the police commit the crimes

The melting pot,

Replacing your identity with pale faces

Give us a keyboard, we're all racist

We pledge allegiance to a fucking flag,

But can't pledge allegiance to our fellow man

They divide us

Then weed out the survivors

Republicans or democrats

Bloods or crips

White or black

This or that

Skewed views

We can't get the picture back.

It's a vicious fact

And most of us live with that

United we stand,

But only as a contradiction

Truth is our deadliest opposition

We the people,

Write our own obituary

Everything we idolize is imaginary

America, America,

I wish I wasn't so embarrassed of,

America.
