The Invisible Man

I’m that feeling that someone’s watching

An urban legend,

Playground gossip,

A myth among mortals

I lurk like a shadow,

I’m right behind you

Obsessed with death

I look every soul in the eye as they die

Bones chilled in the freezer

Victims selected at random for no reason

Scrapbooks filled with candid captures of captivating decapitations

Never had a tasteful thought

There’s nothing to read into

No psyche to evaluate

I value hate

I’m every nightmare you’ve ever had

An undiscovered phobia

Cloaked in an ominous aura of horror

Nowhere is safe

On the blackest nights

Or the brightest days

You’ll never see me coming
