Strangers

Walking alone on a quiet night

With my thumb out trying to hitchhike

A man pulls over and asks "Do you need a ride?"

I say "Yes" and hop inside

I tell him "Thanks” the poor guy

He doesn't know I’ve got something to hide

I throw my duffle bag in the backseat

Right next to his suitcase, now I have to act sweet

He doesn't know that my bag holds many trophies

And if he opened it then he would expose me

Duct tape, zip-ties, a hammer and a blindfold

I’ll rob him at the decoy house, I’m feeling bold

He definitely looks wealthy enough for my selection

He looks over to me and asks "Which direction?"

I say "Head north" as I stare at his wrist

Damn he has a Rolex and a Mercedes Benz

He pulls off and I get lost in my thoughts

Stealing from the rich and not getting caught

Is such a rush of euphoria to go through

He asks "You got any family out here you're trying to go to?"

I say "No, you?" And he replies "No" too

"Perfect" I think to myself "Nobody knows you"

Then again it’s possible I’m being too greedy

After this I’ll take a break and take it easy

I say "This exit here, we’re getting close"

The anticipation is what gets me going the most

"Take a left here" my heart's pounding

My body is tensing up, feels like it's shouting

"Another left" it's beating faster than before

"A right here" he'll never guess what's in store

"The house on the left" it's finally time

He puts the car in park, now to invite him inside

I turn to him and our eyes meet in a gaze

Immediately I could tell that I made a mistake

He has his hand in his pocket ready to lash out

He lunges at me, next thing I know I pass out

Driving alone on a quiet night

There's a man that wants to hitchhike

I pull over and ask "Do you need a ride?"

He says "Yes" and hops inside

He says "Thanks" the poor guy

He doesn't know I’ve got something to hide

He throws his duffle bag in the backseat,

Right next to my suitcase, now I have to act sweet

He doesn't know that my suitcase holds my trophy

And if he opened it then he would expose me

A necklace from my last victim, it's so divine

I snatched it from her after I stabbed her spine

I didn't get a chance to wipe the blood off for inspection

I look over to him and ask "Which direction?"

He says "Head north" not that it matters

I'm gonna stab him until his guts splatter

I pull off and I get lost in my thoughts

Slicing a man with a knife and not getting caught

Is such a rush of euphoria to go through

I ask "You got any family out here you're trying to go to?"

He says "No, you?" And I reply "No" too

"Perfect" I think to myself "Nobody knows you"

Killing the innocent grants a feeling I can’t explain

But I always take a souvenir to decorate my domain

He says  "This exit here, we’re getting close"

The anticipation is what gets me going the most

"Take a left here" my heart's pounding

My body is tensing up, feels like it's shouting

"Another left" it's beating faster than before

"A right here" he'll never guess what's in store

"The house on the left" it's finally time

I put the car in park and now it's the end of the line

I turn to him and our eyes meet in a gaze

I think he knows that he made a mistake

My hand in my pocket I take my knife out

And proceed to grab him and stab his life out
