A Second of Forever (Insight)

A Second of Forever is all about my own mortality and the short amount of time we have on this Earth in the grand scheme of all of existence. It was very intentional of me to keep this poem short and sweet, mirroring our blink-and-you’ll-miss-it lifespans. Someday, someone’s last memory of me will be had, the same can be said for everyone. It’s thoughts like these that help me stay humble and remember to appreciate what little time I’ve had here to enjoy myself. Moments by GAWVI is the song that really made me face this reality. I had this song on repeat for basically an entire year, half singing my heart out, half dreading when my final moments would arrive. This poem is easily digestible and definitely relatable which makes it easy to come back to again and again, dare I say, forever? I hope you enjoy reading A Second of Forever by Daniel Peiffer.
