Bottled Tears Spoil to Rage (Insight)

Bottled Tears Spoil to Rage is the title track, title poem? It’s essentially a proclamation that I have found a way to channel my emotions and use them as a sword, for better or worse. Ms. Mural by Lupe Fiasco inspired my approach for this piece. Art is up for interpretation, ultimately, the reader has all the power. That song made me realize I can say almost anything and give it meaning. Different people will take away different things and that’s okay, even if what they take away is nothing at all. Lupe has always had a profound way of saying things and it inspired me to step away from my usual blunt approach, to really get creative with what I wanted to say. “Saying a whole lot of nothing with infinite implications” is my favorite line from this poem, as it really sums up what I was going for. I let myself write freely, just jotting down my thoughts without worrying about rhyme scheme or being concerned if people would understand what I meant. It’s all up to interpretation, just like life. I hope you enjoy reading Bottled Tears Spoil to Rage by Daniel Peiffer.
