Ashamed

How do you sleep at night, knowing what you have done, knowing what you will do? The devil doesn’t even have to tempt you anymore. Are you as valiant as your best deed or does feeling guilty make you a good person? You can keep wondering but you will not like the answers you seek. You are a clever soul because you have fooled everyone around you. But not me. No not me, I see right through your facade. I can see the evil you hide behind an artistic craft, but you will crash and burn. You will die without a sound state of mind. And you think if you take your life you can rectify. You don’t even deserve suicide, the loss of the train of thought that haunts you is too light of a sentence for your crimes. I want to see you fail. I want to be your failure. I don’t want the wind taken from your sails; I want the winds of a hurricane to crush your boat. If you are hated, congratulations, someone likes you more than I do. You disgust me. I disgust you. We are one in the same and I can’t be anything else but ashamed. Ashamed that sin has become your God. Ashamed that I’ve fallen silent. Ashamed that these bottled tears supplied the thirst for the violence.
